Mies van der Rohe - Bacardi Building
Mies van der Rohe - Bacardi Building
A superb example of Mies' understated elegance, Mexico City's Bacardi building was designed in the late 1950s and is a study in restraint, order and precision. Its glass-walled lobby level and open, stone-paved plaza recall Mies' design for the Seagram Building in New York, a high-rise triumph utilizing some of of the same design elements.
