Hand-Printed Fine Art Photographs: To ensure consistently high quality, each of our giclée photographic prints is printed individually by hand when you order it, by an experienced graphic arts professional. Our professional-quality photographic imaging technologies yield first-quality prints of stunning richness and detail.

Inks: We proudly use the best archival inks – the Epson UltraChrome HD eight-color pigments system, which incorporates multiple shades of black, specifically formulated for rich black and white photography with excellent clarity and depth.

Paper: All photos are printed on Epson Ultra-Premium Luster photographic paper. This acid-free, archival paper produces vivid, lifelike images that rival those of traditional silver halide prints. 

MUSEUM-QUALITY FRAMING

Each frame is handcrafted in the USA by a master framer with over 30 years of experience. Our frames are made with sustainably-harvested wood and environmentally-friendly shellacs.

Matboards: We frame with 4-ply, acid-free, conservation matboards from Crescent due to their aesthetic and archival qualities.

Glazing: Premium acrylic is used (instead of traditional glass) due to its lighter weight, strength and excellent level of clarity. Our glazing is specially formulated to provide UV coating, which filters out 100% of ultraviolet rays, helping protect your photograph from fading. The result is in a beautiful image that will last for many decades.

Ready to Hang: All the necessary instructions and hardware for hanging are included; you'll just need a hammer and the right spot on your wall.

SHIPPING & TURNAROUND TIMES

Your custom-framed print is carefully packaged in sturdy materials to protect it during transit. Shipping is implemented through UPS Ground and total turnaround time from initial order to delivery to your door is usually less than two weeks.

RETURN POLICY

If your product arrives damaged, please contact us and we will give you instructions to return the product to us for a full refund.
Since each product is custom made, returns can only be accepted for reasons of damage or incorrect product being delivered.

ABOUT OUR COLLECTION

Inspired by a deep love for Modernist architecture and design, the Modernist Collection presents expertly-curated collections of vintage photography from many of the world's most celebrated photographers, whose work has been exhibited by the Museum of Modern Art, the Library of Congress, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The hand-printed photographs we offer are new, fine art giclée prints made from vintage photographs taken mostly in the mid-20th Century by world-class photographers such as Berenice Abbott and Balthazar Korab. Our prints are made from the original source material created by the photographers, such as film negatives, large-format transparencies, etc.

The original, vintage photographs were digitally restored by graphic arts professionals at the Modernist Collection, repairing damage from age, dust, etc.  In our humble opinion, the resulting prints we create are as sharp, vivid and visually striking as the day the photos were taken, several decades ago.

The prints we offer are not signed by the original photographers. Original, artist-signed prints by our photographers are rare collectibles, often sold at auction for many thousands of dollars. The Modernist Collection offers high-quality archival prints for a fraction of that price, framed and ready to hang in your home and enjoy for decades.
